My name is Johnny Foss and I am the Head Coach of the legendary Forest North Stingrays. The Stingrays were first formed in the early 1980's by the Forest North Home Owners Association in hopes of providing a worth while summer activity for the youth in the neighborhood. I have done my best to continue this tradition ever since I joined in the summer of 2002.
Even though I have the opportunity to train and coach with some elite levels of swimming at McNeil High School, I relish the opportunity to help and encourage the development of grass-roots swimming each and every summer with the Stingrays who compete in the North West Swim Circuit. The North West Swim Circuit is a recreational league that hopes to provide a full-immersion experience to the sport of swimming. My focus here at the Stingrays is to help young boys and girls learn a sport that will make them healthier, stronger, and more confident social individuals. The sport of swimming provides access to an extremely large family of people who are focused on improving themselves. That is our true focus here at the Stingrays. Get better today and have fun doing it! That search for daily self-improvement will help keep you on a positive and productive path throughout life. And since the sport of swimming is an activity in which you can participate throughout your entire life we are passing on the gift of long lasting prosperity and health. For these reasons I truly believe I have dedicated my life to the greatest sport in the world...SWIMMING!
See you at the pool!

Hello Stingrays! My name is Kayley McCalmont, and I am beyond excited to be a coach this season! I competed as a Stingray for 12 summers, so this team holds a special place in my heart. I am currently attending Abilene Christian University where I am pursuing a career in education as a social studies teacher. One of my goals for my career is to coach school sports, so I am excited for this opportunity to learn and grow. I am ready to help swimmers improve their athletic abilities and increase their love for this sport and their teammates. This is going to be a fantastic season! Sting’em Rays!
Hey Stingrays! This will be my 5th year as a Stingray and I’m so excited to be a coach! I only joined Stingrays before high school but it was one of the best decisions I made for my swimming life. I’ve swam all the meets from tri meets in the summer to UIL State for high school and I can honestly say, nothing beats the energy and excitement of a Stingrays Meet!! Summer league is where I really fell in love with the pool, team environment, and of course those super long meets! I can’t wait to have so much fun this summer with this one big family. Work hard and enjoy the ride! Don’t hesitate to say hi to me if you see me at practice or the meets. Let’s have a great summer! Sting ‘em Rays!!!
