My name is Johnny Foss and I am the Head Coach of the legendary Forest North Stingrays. The Stingrays were first formed in the early 1980's by the Forest North Home Owners Association in hopes of providing a worth while summer activity for the youth in the neighborhood. I have done my best to continue this tradition ever since I joined in the summer of 2002.
Even though I have the opportunity to train and coach with some elite levels of swimming at McNeil High School, I relish the opportunity to help and encourage the development of grass-roots swimming each and every summer with the Stingrays who compete in the North West Swim Circuit. The North West Swim Circuit is a recreational league that hopes to provide a full-immersion experience to the sport of swimming. My focus here at the Stingrays is to help young boys and girls learn a sport that will make them healthier, stronger, and more confident social individuals. The sport of swimming provides access to an extremely large family of people who are focused on improving themselves. That is our true focus here at the Stingrays. Get better today and have fun doing it! That search for daily self-improvement will help keep you on a positive and productive path throughout life. And since the sport of swimming is an activity in which you can participate throughout your entire life we are passing on the gift of long lasting prosperity and health. For these reasons I truly believe I have dedicated my life to the greatest sport in the world...SWIMMING!

Hello Stingrays!
My name is Coach Guan and I have been a part of the amazing Stingray Family since 2005!!! After swimming for the Stingrays for ten seasons, it is an honor to come back and coach for my seventh season! Throughout the years, the Stingray Family and the sport of swimming has given me so much. The best way for me to give back to the Stingrays and swimming is coaching.
Through coaching I hope to inspire Stingrays to be physically and mentally confident in themselves, in and out of the pool. Swimming is ultimately more than just swimming. It is the lifelong friendships, the countless memories, and the passion for self-improvement. If I were to sum up swimming, it is a gateway to a happier, healthier, and more wholesome life!
I cannot wait to welcome all the new Stingrays and see all of the familiar faces!

Hi guys! My name is Ashlyn Seifert, and this will be my 10th year being a part of the Stingray family. I’m super excited to be a coach again this season! I started swimming when I was eight years old and loved it ever since. I am graduated from McNeil High School this last year and will be continuing my swimming career at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota as a sophmore. I can’t wait to share my love for swimming and to have a ton of fun with this team.

Hi! I am Coach Kim and I am thrilled to be back coaching for the Forest North Stingrays!
I started my coaching career with the Stingrays back in 2002 and over the years have coached both summer league and USA swim teams. Through my 16 year swim career, starting when I was 6 and going through college, I developed my passion for the sport. Through coaching I hope to show others how to be safe in the water, be confident in their abilities, grow, and most importantly have fun! I have 4 kids that are all on the team and they are so excited to be part of a team that is so special to me! Summer league swimming is very important to my family because of the friendships that are made, the confidence that swimming provides, along with the sense of community. I’m so excited for what this season will bring! Go Stingrays!
