Daily Practice Expectations
Each practice, swimmers only, will be let into the pool deck area a couple minutes before their practice begins. Only swimmers with a face covering will be allowed to enter. Once inside, coaches will direct you into a counter-clockwise traffic pattern to limit interactions with the kids leaving the previous practice. Based on your order of entry you will either end up in Group A which will be focused on swimming technique, Group B which will be focused on swimming fitness, or Group C which will be our dryland strength and flexibility station. All swimmers will rotate through our three training groups each and every practice.unless told otherwise.
Your Stingray coaching staff recommends you only bring the following items to each practice: swimmer wearing a swim suit, goggles, face mask, plastic ziplock bag for your mask, and swim cap for those with longer hair. Once you arrive at your beginning station a coach will show you where you can drop your towel and bagged-up face mask.
Please be patient with us here at the Forest North Stingrays. We will be starting slow and trying our best to make sure all of our Stingrays are swimming with the proper basic techniques needed to allow each and every swimmer the chance to reach their true potential in this beautiful sport. Harder work will be coming down the road. For the first several weeks help make sure your swimmer is focused and ready to demonstrate how "pretty" they can be in the water. The Stingrays are famous for their impeccable swimming technique. Let's all do our best to maintain that reputation!!
